Dumpster Frequently Asked Questions

How much does your trash dumpster cost?

Our prices are very competitive, so please call the office to speak to an agent regarding container prices.

How long can I keep the trash bin?

You can keep your trash dumpster for 1 week before we start charging for additional days. 20, 30, 35 and 40-yard trash bins cost $20/day. We do not automatically pick up your trash bin. It is your responsibility to call and schedule a pick up, and it is your responsibility to verify that it was picked up.

How soon can I get a trash bin?

If you call in the afternoon, we can usually get you a trash bin the next morning. If you call in the morning, we can usually get you a trash bin that afternoon. We appreciate having 24 hours notice, but we will always try to work within your time frame.

What materials are considered hazardous? How can I properly dispose of them?

The following materials are hazardous: asbestos, treated wood (telephone poles and railroad ties), oil, paint, chemicals, propane tanks, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, etc. If you have paint cans where the paint is totally dry, then it is not hazardous. Tires are not hazardous, but they pose a problem at the landfill, so we charge an extra $15 per tire. To get information about hazardous waste disposal centers and programs, call 800-98-TOXIC (800-988-6942), or go to the following website: www.ciwmb.ca.gov.

How much room do I need for the trash dumpster?

For a 40-yard dumpster, our largest dumpster, you need approximately 60 feet in length, which is about 4 car lengths. The trash dumpster is 22 feet long, and our trucks are between 33 & 37 feet long. Also, the truck is 10 feet wide, so you need 12 feet in width to give the driver 1 foot on either side to maneuver.

How high can we fill the trash dumpsters?

Never fill a trash bin higher than the side-walls.

Do I need a permit?

In most jurisdictions, you do need a permit if you want the bin placed in the street. If you decide to place the container in the street, go to your city’s Public Works website or online application. However, you do not need a permit if we drop the container on your property, but we require your signature in person or by fax to release us from any property damage. Be aware that having a bin that weighs 2 tons empty, and approximately 8 tons full can easily crack your driveway. Have plywood ready to help avoid any damage. It should be noted that, in regard to bin placement, convenience is secondary to safety. Our drivers will not drop a bin where it would potentially do harm to a person or property.

Does that price include an unlimited amount of swaps since I paid for a week?

No it does not. Our price is for one trash dumpster. If you fill it up and need us to dump it, then you would pay for another trash bin.
